Earth 2140” is a
Real-Time Strategy game in 2D, designed for the PC, Macintosh and the Amiga platforms under the brand name of “TopWare Programy.” Its story takes place 150 years in the future, after a nuclear war, and sees humanity split in two hostile unions: The Union of Civilized States (UCS) and the Eurasian Dynasty (ED), which fight each other for the resources that still remain on the ravaged planet.
The game offers an extensive selection of units (over 40), structures and weapons divided among the two sides. The player can use tanks, robots, planes and ships, armed with grenades, missiles, laser cannons and plasma weapons. “Earth 2140” consists of over 50 single-player missions split into two campaigns – and 30 Multi-Player maps.
Within months of the game's launch, an add-on was developed and released: “Earth 2140: Final Conflict” expanded the original version of the game with 80 single-player missions, 30 Multi-Player maps, six new units, two buildings, and one new terrain – as well as a brand new soundtrack.
